Agriculture Minister Reassures Clare Farmers Over Forestry Concerns

The Agriculture Minister has moved to reassure farmers in Clare that the government is committed to planting forestry.

It follows concerns locally that red tape is preventing forestation on land in many parts of this county that is unsuitable for traditional farming.

An information night on the issue is being held later in Kilmihil, run by the local branch of the IFA and the Clare Local Development Company.
