Over 3000 Aer Lingus workers at Shannon Cork and Dublin are set to vote on a major cost cutting plan resulting in hundreds of redundancies and pay cuts up to 10 percent.

The staff unions have reached full agreement on the restructuring scheme announced by the former state carrier last October.
Under its plans over 600 employees including over a hundred Shannon based crew were facing the axe but the airline says the number of job cuts now sought are less than originally planned.
