Aer Lingus formally launches its year-round service from Shannon to Boston this morning.

Flights begin this week after the airline was twice forced to postpone their introduction, due to delays in the delivery of a Boeing 757 aircraft on which it is operated.
Before that the Labour Relations Commission had also brokered a deal between the airline and it’s workers to man the flights, following a dispute which had threatened the future of the Aer Lingus cabin crew base in Shannon.
