There’s disappointment over Aer Arann’s decision to suspend its Aer Lingus Regional service between Shannon Airport and Bristol for the Winter Season.
The airline will cease flights to the UK city from the 30th of September, stating the route is reasonably busy in summer but less so from October onwards when fewer people travel.
However in a statement to Clare FM, its acting Chief Executive insists Aer Aran is committed to its base in the Mid West and is focused on developing its additional services to the UK including Manchester, Birmingham and Edinburgh.
Shannon Independent Councillor Patricia McCarthy while disappointed over the loss of flights to Bristol, is hopeful the carrier will expand its services at Clare’s International Airport
