Up to 8,000 extra passengers are set to fly through Clare’s International Airport this winter, as Aer Lingus announces a new route to Lanzarote.

The former flag carrier will operate the once-weekly service from October to March, giving a chance for local holiday makers to catch some winter sun.
This is the latest commitment to Shannon by Aer Lingus, which has already expanded transatlantic services from Shannon, as well as a new route to Faro in Portugal.
The airport’s Director of Operations Niall Maloney says this latest announcement is a further boost.
