Aer Lingus And Cabin Crew Hold LRC Talks

Representatives of Aer Lingus and IMPACT will meet at the Labour Relations Commission later for talks aimed at resolving their row over rosters and the closure of their base at Shannon Airport.

Staff voted overwhelmingly in favour of industrial action after the former flag carrier announced it’s to close the Clare facility, which employs 87 people.

The airline says it took the decision because of a refusal by staff to work new aircraft on transatlantic routes, but workers representatives say the company has been unwilling to address their concerns.
