The Department of Education has approved additional accommodation for a Shannon primary school.
A two-class Special Education Needs unit will be constructed at St Aidan’s National School, along with a mainstream classroom with en-suite.

The school was established back in 1982 and already contains an astroturf and sensory garden.
The accommodation approval is understood to be to help to further meet the needs of the Smithstown school’s student population.
