Active Retirement Calls For Assurance Regarding State Pensions

The Shannon-based President of Active Retirement Ireland is calling on the government to “stop playing games” with pensioners’ financial security.

The organisation wants assurances that the state pension will be an adequate safety net for those who have retired.

They say as living costs rise, so must the allowance given to older people who rely on the money from the state.
