Action Plan In Place At Shannon Airport

The Director of Operations at Shannon Airport says plans are in place to deal with any expected or unexpected risks.

Flights were grounded for an hour and a half at Dublin Airport this morning as emergency crews fought a fire in the roof of a hanger containing multiple aircraft.

As a result six flights were diverted to Shannon Airport which welcomed over 1000 extra passengers on account of the disruption but all services there have since returned to normal.
