A new windfarm is set to be constructed in West Clare.
An Comisiún Pleanála has given Ballykett Green Energy LTD the green light to build four turbines of up to 150m in height at Tullabrack near Kilrush.

It’s envisaged the windfarm will produce between 16 and 20 MW (Mega-Watts) of electricity.
Clare County Council had initially rejected the plans last year after receiving over 80 objections, however the newly formed appeals board has now overruled this decision.
