Accused “sorry” to hear of Limerick man’s death

One of two cousins charged with burglary at a house, where a man was found dead on Thursday, told Gardai, he was "really sorry" the man had died.

20-year old David Casey, of Carragh Park, Coolock, Dublin 17, and 32-year old Michael Casey, with an address at Bay 9, Clonglong Halting Site, Limerick, were brought before a special sitting of Limerick District Court earlier and charged with two other counts of burglary and one count of causing criminal damage.

Both men were each charged with entering the home of John O'Donoghue at Toomaline, Upper Doon, Co Limerick last Thursday, and stealing 200 euro worth of jewellery, and thirty pounds sterling.

The two accused men were remanded in custody to appear in court again next Tuesday
