97 On Trolleys At UHL During Morning Rounds

University Hospital Limerick remains by far the most overcrowded in the country once again today.

The latest figures from the INMO show there were 97 admitted patients waiting for beds at the Dooradoyle facility during morning rounds, 47 of those in the Emergency Department.

The overall number represents a slight drop on yesterday’s figure of 104 and is 21 more than the next busiest facility.

The INMO’s daily trolley watch analysis also shows there were 627 people waiting for beds at hospitals across the country today.
