Fianna Fail's Timmy Dooley leads the way, but second placed Michael Harty has closed the gap after a strong transfer of votes from Ian Lynch, who was eliminated in count three.
Pat Breen remains in third place with fellow outgoing Fine Gael TD Joe Carey in fourth.
The third Fine Gael candidate Mary Howard was eliminated in count 4, with Lynch eliminated in count 3 and Fis Nua's Niamh O'Brien in count 2
