Over 900 Environmental Complaints Made In Clare In 2018

Members of the public are being given the opportunity to have their say on how the scourge of illegal dumping is tackled in Clare.

Clare County Council is looking for ideas on it’s new litter plan for 2019 to 2021, saying that while there’s growing awareness of the importance of keeping the county litter free, there’s still a need to change anti-social attitudes.

There have been 961 environmental complaints made to the council so far this year, 520 of those for dumping, with 108 relating to household waste and 47 for litter.
