86 On Trolleys At University Hospital Limerick

The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital is almost double that of the next busiest facility.

The latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show there were 86 patients on trolleys at University Hospital Limerick during morning rounds, 34 of those in the ED.

The overall figure is 42 more than the next busiest facility; Cork University Hospital.
