More than 850 Ukrainian students are now enrolled in schools across county Clare.
New figures from the Department of Education show 531 pupils from the war torn state are in the county’s primary schools, with a further 326 in secondary education locally.

Just four counties have higher numbers of Ukrainian primary or secondary students than Clare – Cork, Dublin, Donegal and Kerry.
More than 13,300 students from Ukraine are now being educated at schools nationwide, with nearly two thirds of these in primary education.
