The region’s main hospital has more than double the number of people on trolleys than any other facility as the week begins.
83 people are waiting for a bed as of this morning at University Hospital Limerick according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.

58 of these patients are in the emergency department in Dooradoyle, with a further 25 people in overflow areas of wards.
Letterkenny University Hospital is the next most overcrowded facility, where 40 patients are waiting for a bed.
