High levels of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital are persisting today.
The latest figures from the INMO show there were 81 patients waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, with 41 of those on trolleys in the Emergency Department.

The overall figures is down on yesterday’s figure but still remains by far the highest in the country, and is almost double the number of the next busiest facility; Galway University Hospital.
