Over 800 homes and business are currently without power in the West Clare area.
The outages were first reported in the Drumquin area near Lissycasey following heavy showers this afternoon.

The ESB say they are currently working to repair the fault affecting its customers in the region as soon as possible.
The utility has issued an estimated power supply restoration time of 4:30pm this evening.
