A list of Clare’s fly-tipping black-spots is being prepared, to ensure CCTV systems are installed in high priority locations.
It comes as the local authority has confirmed that environmental officers will be increasing patrols on the ‘bog road’ which links the Galway motorway to Ennis via the Quin Road, following a spate of illegal dumping.
So far this year, Clare County Council has received 160 complaints in relation to waste disposal and has issued 9 illegal dumping fines as a result.
