8-Year-Old Girl Still Fighting For Life After Clarecastle Stabbing

An eight-year-old girl is still fighting for her life in Crumlin’s Children’s Hospital in Dublin, after suffering 75 stab wounds in Clarecastle earlier this week.

The Ukrainian refugee was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries, following the stabbing at a residence near Clareabbey on Tuesday morning.

Her mother also remains critically ill in hospital after being found unconscious at the premises they were staying in.

 

A Senior Investigating Officer at Ennis Garda Station is currently overseeing the investigation.
