8% Rise In Insurance Claims Involving Uninsured Drivers In Clare

There’s been an 8% rise in the number of insurance claims involving uninsured drivers in Clare.

The latest figures from the Motor Insurers’ Bureau of Ireland show 41 claims were made in Clare in 2017, up from 38 the previous year, and 26 in 2015.

The MIBI, which was set up to compensate victims of accidents caused by uninsured vehicles, has also raised concerns about fraudulent claims, with one in eight thought to be suspicious.
