8 remain on trolleys at Ennis A&E

Nursing staff at Ennis General are under increased pressure with over half a dozen patients being treated on trolleys and chairs at Clare’s County Hospital.

A spokesperson for the HSE West has confirmed to Clare FM that from last night there were 8 people were awaiting admission for a bed, as all the wards were operating at full capacity.

Daily figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation today confirm that the county hospital is still trying to deal with the backlog as eight patients are still being treated on trolleys.
