8% Drop In Unemployment In The Midwest

There’s been an 8% drop in the number of people out of work in the Midwest.

The latest figures from the CSO show there were just over 20,230 people on the live register in the region in September, down from over 22,180 the previous month.

It comes as the latest report from economic think-tank the ESRI has forecasted that we’ll be close to full employment by the end of next year.
