High levels of overcrowding are being recorded at the region’s main hospital once again.
The latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show there were 74 patients waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning.

54 of those were on trolleys in the Emergency Department, with the remainder accommodated in overflow areas of wards.
They’re among 625 patients waiting for beds at hospitals across the country today.
