Over 730 people have signed an online petition against a rise in commercial rates in two Clare towns.

As part of a harmonisation process outlined in the local authority's Budget for 2016, Ennis businesses will see a 6 per cent rise in rates next year while in Kilrush, there will be a 9 per cent increase.
Businesses have hit out at the move saying it will have a devastating affect on both towns.
PRO for Renua in Clare, Joe Corbett says increased rates goes against any logic and he hopes the petition will help to reverse the decision.
