73 Cases of Covid-19 Confirmed In Clare Over Past Fortnight

The Department of Public Health Midwest is urging people not to drop their guard, even after receiving their second vaccine dose.

It comes as 73 cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Clare over the past fortnight, with a further 323 cases in Limerick and 32 cases in North Tipperary.

Health officials are currently investigating COVID-19 situations in 12 workplaces in the Midwest, involving 100 cases and an estimated 77 close contacts.

Public Health Midwest says a higher incidence of infection has been recorded among vulnerable populations in the region and that they’re working closely with HSE Social Inclusion services to encourage continued vaccine uptake in the region.
