70 On Trolleys At UHL

Hospital trolleys

Numbers attending the Emergency Department at the region’s main hospital are continuing to climb.

The latest figures from the INMO show 70 people were left waiting on beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 52 of those on trolleys in the Emergency Department.

The over all figure is more than double that of the next busiest facility and represents a quarter of the total number of patients on trolleys across the country.
