70 On Trolleys At UHL

The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital is on the rise again.

The latest INMO figures show there were 70 patients waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 48 of those on trolleys in the Emergency Department.

The overall number is 4 more than the next busiest hospital and comes on a day that 527 people have been left waiting to be admitted at hospitals across the country.
