6th person due in court over Ennis Feuding Incidents

A sixth person is due before the courts today  in connection with the violent incidents at the Maid of Erin Roundabout in Ennis on Sunday.

The 20 year old is facing assault and weapons charges.

According to gardaí  the 20 year old suspect was detained in the Fairhill area of Cork City at around 8 o’clock last Tuesday night.

He was transfered to Ennis Garda Station for questioning in relation to the events surrounding the ramming of several vehicles at the Maid of Erin Roundabout on Sunday – in which three people were injured.

The 20 year old was subsequently charged with a number of offences including assault and possession of a weapon and is due before the district court at Ennis Courthouse this morning.

He’s the sixth person charged in connection with Sunday’s incidents – Yesterday one of two women facing public order offences pleaded guilty and was fined 300 euro- the case of the second woman was adjourned until November 21st

Three others also charge in connection with violent feuding in Ennis are due back in court next week.
