Nurses say overcrowding at the region’s main hospital is on the rise once again.

The latest INMO figures show 65 patients have been left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 36 of those in the emergency hospital alone.

The overall figures is eight more than the next busiest facility and comes on a day when 597 patients have been left waiting on trolleys at hospitals across the country.
