Nurses say 62 patients have been left waiting for beds at the region’s main hospital today.

The latest figures from the INMO show 38 patients were waiting on trolleys in the ED at University Hospital Limerick this morning, with a further 24 in overflow areas of wards.

The Dooradoyle facility remains the most overcrowded in the country with the overall figures two dozen more than the next busiest facility.
