Meanwhile, nurses are reporting significant levels of overcrowding at University Hospital Limerick once more today.

The INMO’s daily trolleywatch statistics say there were sixty people awaiting admission to University Hospital Limerick this morning, 35 of them in the hospital’s Emergency Departemnt.

The figure is nearly twice that of the next highest hospitals in Tullamore and Galway, which have 34 patients awaiting admission each.
