A new housing estate and playground has been proposed for a village on the Clare border.
Coast to Coast Energy Solutions is the firm behind ambitious plans for Meelick.
The developer is pledging to deliver 60 new homes on a 2.9 hectare site in Gortgarraun, with 86 new parking spaces.
The housing scheme will comprise of 24 houses and 36 apartments, offering 46 two-bed properties, 8 three-bed units and 4 four-beds.
A Part V agreement has also been struck with the council, meaning up to 12 of the homes could be used for social or affordable housing.
There’s also plans to provide an adjacent playground and to realign the road adjoining the site.
Clare County Council will make a decision on the plans by May 28th, with submissions accepted until May 7th.
