There are 59 patients waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick as the week begins.
The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation’s reporting 48 of those patients were in the emergency department in Dooradoyle as of this morning.

It comes on a day when more than 600 people are on trolleys in hospitals across the country.
