57 Waiting On Trolleys At UHL Today

Nurses say 57 people were left waiting for beds at the region’s main hospital today.

The latest figures from the INMO show University Hospital Limerick is one of the most overcrowded in the country, with 32 on trolleys in the Emergency Department his morning and a further 25 in overflow areas of wards.

It comes on a day when 621 patients were waiting to be admitted at hospitals across the country.
