Nurses say there’s been a fall in the number of people left waiting on trolleys at the region’s main hospital today.
57 patients were left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 34 of those in the emergency department.

But the Dooradoyle facility is still the busiest in the country, and overall trolley numbers are 16 more than the next busiest hospital.
It comes on a day when 455 patients have been left waiting to be admitted across the country.
