New electric car sales in Clare are up by 57 percent so far this year.
Latest figures from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry show 242 fully electric vehicles were sold in this county by the end of October.

2,092 vehicles as a whole have been sold in this county in the first ten months of 2022, with diesel models accounting for nearly a third of those.
Clare’s favourite car brand so far in 2022 is Toyota, followed by Kia, Volkswagen and Skoda.
