Fully electric car sales in Clare saw a 56 percent jump last year.
Figures from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry show 250 such vehicles were newly registered in this county in 2022, compared to 160 in 2021.

Overall car registration numbers in this county remained relatively static last year, with more than 2,000 new vehicles newly documented here.
SIMI Director General Brian Cooke says the industry has yet to recover its pre-pandemic sales numbers.
