54 On Trolleys At Region’s Main Hospital

The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital has eased slightly.

The latest INMO figures show 54 patients were left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 29 of those on trolleys in the Emergency Department.

The overall figure is down from 60 yesterday, and is just 1 more than the next busiest facility today – Cork University Hospital.
