54 People Waiting For Beds At University Hospital Limerick

Nurses say 54 people are waiting for beds at the region's main hospital today.

Figures from the INMO show University Hosptial Limerick is once again the most overcrowded in the country with 39 people waiting on trolleys in the emergency department and a further 15 accomodated in overflow areas of wards.

It comes on a day when 430 people are on hospital trolleys across the country.

Cork University Hospital is the second busiest hospital where 45 people are waiting for admission.
