Nurses say the region’a main hospital is suffering from the highest level of overcrowding in the country once again today.

The INMO’s latest trolleywatch analysis shows 52 patients were left waiting for a bed at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 33 of those in the emergency department.

It’s five more than the next busiest – University Hospital Galway and Cork University Hospital both recorded 47 on patients today.
