Over 51,000 passengers are expected at Shannon Airport over the busy August Bank holiday weekend.
It comes as the MidWest airport is on track to welcome to exceed over 2 million passengers throughout 2024.

So far this year, over 974,000 passengers have either flown from or arrived at Shannon, which is an 8% increase on this time last year.
Shannon Airport has attributed the rise in passenger traffic to the resumption of Delta’s daily service to New York JFK along with increased frequencies on nine of its European and UK destinations.
