50 new jobs have been announced for Ennis with the establishment of a new commuter and tourist bus service.
The Dublin Coach Company is to commence regular bus journeys from Ennis to Dublin in an extension of it’s Limerick services, as well as tourist routes around Clare’s popular attractions.
The company says it will set up an Ennis base from the new Coach Park at Friar’s Walk and plans to hire 20 staff by December, with hopes for a further 30 positions next year.
The news was announced on Clare FM’s Morning Focus by Labasheeda native John O’Sullivan who’s the Managing Director of Dublin Coach.
He says they’re currently looking for drivers, administration, maintenance and suport staff and other positions to commence work in December, with "huge plans" for the future.
Local Politicians and Business Representatives have welcomed the news as a great boost for local jobs, and the tourist sector throughout Clare.
