4pm Deadline In Northern Ireland For Power-Sharing Government

Northern Ireland could be returning to direct rule from London.

Politicians have until 4pm this afternoon to form a new power-sharing government.

But if they can’t agree in the next few hours then Westminster takes over again – and at the moment Sinn Féin and the DUP are at loggerheads over the appointment of Arlene Foster.
