48 People Waiting For Beds At Region’s Main Hospital

Nurses say 48 people are waiting for beds at the region's main hospital.

University Hospital Limerick remains the most overcrowded in the country, according to figures from the INMO, which show that 34 people are waiting on trolleys in the emergency department today.

A further 14 patients are being accomodated in overflow areas of wards.

The figure is 10 more than the second busiest hospital, South Tipperary General Hospital, where 38 people are waiting to be admitted.
