46 Patients On Trolleys At UHL

The region’s main hospital remains the most overcrowded in the country once again today.

46 patients were left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, according to the latest trolley watc report from the INMO.

25 of those were waiting on admission in the emergency department, while a further 21 were being accomodated in overflow areas of wards.

The overall figures is 15 more than the next busiest facility and comes on a day when 372 people are on trolleys on hospitals across the country.
