A Clare hotelier is optimistic the county will experience a good tourist season this year in spite of the number of tourist beds declining nationwide.
The Irish Hotels Federation has reported hotels across Ireland reached an average occupancy of 74% down from 2023.
Meanwhile the federation is forecasting a further 2% decline in business for hotels nationwide throughout the course of 2025.
Clare Tourism Advisory Forum Chair, Sean Lally, says the county’s tourist assets help prevent hotels from experiencing extensive downturn in tourist numbers.
