The death toll from two huge explosions in north-eastern China has more than doubled to 44, according to local officials.

The blasts tore through an industrial area in the port city of Tianjin.
Contact has been lost with 36 firefighters, and around 520 people are injured – 66 of them critically.
Reports say many were hurt by broken glass – and local hospitals are struggling to cope.
