The number of patients waiting on trollies in the region's main hospital is the highest in the country this afternoon.

Figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show there are 27 patients on trollies in the emergency department at the University Hospital Limerick.
A further 16 patients are being accomodated on overflow areas of wards.
The second highest figure is at Beaumont Hospital with 38 waiting on a bed.
